MAY 2022 CHLORINE PRODUCTION

In May, the European chlorine production reached 748,474 tonnes. With 24,144 tonnes, the May 2022 average daily production was 2.2% higher than in the previous month (April 2022: 23,619 tonnes), but 6.5% lower than in May 2021 (25,833 tonnes).

With 196,562 tonnes, the May 2022 caustic soda stocks were 2.2% higher than in the previous month (April 2022: 192,422 tonnes), and 4,369 tonnes above the level of May 2021 (192,193 tonnes).

The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in May 2022.
